My Responsibilities
-
Designed the game from scratch as a first-person, co-op, open-world farming simulation, integrating farming, animal husbandry, and hunting into a single cohesive open-world experience.
-
Built the core game loop around a raw material to finished product to sale to farm development cycle, designing the production chain so that every step felt purposeful and connected rather than arbitrary.
-
Designed a marketplace system embedded in the open world where players can sell the products they produce, and created recurring festival events tied to this marketplace to give the selling loop a social and temporal rhythm
MY POSITION
GAME DESIGNER & CONTENT WRITER
-
Built a dual-track progression system where players develop both their farm and the festival area simultaneously, ensuring neither side of the game felt like a detour from the other.
-
Designed a full animal husbandry system from the ground up, including distinct AI states for each animal, a stat-based health and morale framework, breeding mechanics with bond systems between mothers and offspring, and harvesting processes tailored to each animal type.
-
Designed a detailed farming system covering over 40 plant and tree types, each with individual water consumption, ripening timelines, life cycles and yield values, as well as mechanics for invasive plants, fertilization effects and crop degradation.
